What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

MINWORTH ROAD, WATER ORTON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from the junction with Old Church Road to the County Border.
Reason for Order: To enable continued works on the bridge.
Order Commences: 2 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Access & Diversion: Minworth Road, Marsh Lane, M42, Lichfield Road, A446, A4097, Kingsbury Road and vice versa.
Contractor: Kier Group, Tel: 03300 183 515.

ORTON LANE, AUSTREY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works for new service connection.
Order Commences: 1 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 3 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: Orton Lane, Austrey Lane, Norton Lane, Atherstone Road, Norton Hill, Main Road and vice versa.

Reason for Order: The closures/temporary speed limits are required to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works including the removal and replacement of road studs, pre surface dressing patching, replacement of road markings, sand carpeting and road sweeping.

Order Commences: 6 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 31 October 2025.
Access & Diversion: will be appropriately signed.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

ARLEY LANE, ASTLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To enable new supply works.
Order Commences: 14 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 16 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: Ansley Road, Nuthurst Lane, Park Lane, Arley Lane, Lamp Lane and vice versa.
Contractor: Network Plus, Tel: 08006 783 105.

BIRMINGHAM ROAD, COLESHILL
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Woodlands Cemetery to A457 Roundabout (westbound).
Reason for Order: Telecoms mast testing/maintenance works, overnight 21.00hrs-05.00hrs.
Order Commences: 18 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 19 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: Birmingham Road, Lichfield Road, Stonebridge Road, Coventry Road, Coleshill Heath Road, Chester Road and vice versa.
Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 01652 656 291.

D182 SOUTH STREET, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed between Arden Street and Arden Avenue.
Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs, weekdays only excluding Bank Holidays.
Order Commences: 14 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 24 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: South Street, Woolpack Way, Long Street, Witherley Road, Convent Lane, South Street and vice versa. Access/Egress to be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only. Access/Egress to/from Woodhayes Grange may also be restricted whilst works are in progress.

LEICESTER CRESCENT, ATHERSTONE
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works for boundary box installation.
Order Commences: 14 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 15 April 2025.
Access & Diversion: Royal Meadow Drive, York Avenue, Leicester Crescent and vice versa.
Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

STONEHOUSE LANE, ARLEY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to lay approx 900 meters of duct in the carriageway.
Order Commences: 15 April 2025 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 8 May 2025.
Access & Diversion: Spring Hill, Station Road and vice versa.
Contractor: Callan Connect, Tel: 01213 275 167.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
