Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The Derbyshire County Council (High Street, Beaconsfield Street, Salisbury Street, Claye Street, West Gate, Brown’s Road And Main Street Long Eaton) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting And Stopping) Traffic Regulation Order 202X

Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be, in respects of roads in Long Eaton, in the Borough of Erewash, is as follows:

To Prohibit Waiting At Any Time By Vehicles - On The Following Lengths Of Road:
Access Road to the West of Long Eaton Market Place, Long Eaton
East side

From its junction with Beaconsfield Street in a northerly and then easterly direction for its entire length.
West side

From its junction with Beaconsfield Street in a northerly and then easterly direction for its entire length.

Beaconsfield Street, Long Eaton
North side
From the western kerbline of Claye Street in a westerly direction for
a distance of 20 metres.

Brown’s Road, Long Eaton
South-east side
From its junction with Cross Street in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 58 metres.

North-west side
From its junction with Cross Street in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 58 metres.

Claye Street, Long Eaton
East side
From a point 35 metres north of its junction with Beaconsfield Street to the junction with High Street.

West side
From a point 35 metres north of its junction with Beaconsfield Street to the junction with High Street.

From its junction with Beaconsfield Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 35 metres.

High Street, Long Eaton
North side
From its junction with Market Place in an easterly direction to its junction with Claye Street.

From the eastern kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 153 metres. 

South side
From its junction with Market Place in an easterly direction to its junction with Claye Street.

From the western kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 1 metre.

From a point 27 metres east of the western kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres.

From a point 27 metres east of the common boundary of properties No. 47 and No. 49 High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 63 metres. Market Place, Long Eaton

From its junction with High Street in a north-easterly direction for its entire length.

From a point 86 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Cross Street to the junction with High Street.

From a point 86 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Cross Street to the junction with High Street.

From a point 66 metres west of its junction with Claye Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 13 metres.

West Gate, Long Eaton
South side
From its junction with Claye Street in an easterly direction to its junction with Gibb Street.

To Prohibit Waiting - No Waiting 10am To 4pm All Days - On The Following Length(S) Of Road(S):
High Street South side
From a point 1 metre east of the eastern kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 26 metres.

From a point 3 metres east of the common boundary of properties No. 47 and No. 49 High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 23 metres.

Market Place South side
From the eastern kerbline of Tamworth Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres.


To Prohibit Stopping Except For Taxis Between The Hours Of 4pm And 10am All Days - On The Following Length(S) Of Road(S):

Brown’s Road South-east side
From a point 25 metres south-west of its junction with Cross Street in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 33 metres.

Claye Street East side
From its junction with West Gate in a northerly direction for a distance of 77 metres.

West side
From its junction with West Gate in a northerly direction for a distance of 77 metres.

Main Street West side
From its junction with West Gate in a southerly direction for a distance of 16 metres.

East side
From its junction with Station Road for a distance of 27 metres in a northerly direction.

Salisbury Street North side
From its junction with Claye Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

South side
From its junction with Claye Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 78 metres.

West Gate South side
From its junction with Claye Street to its junction with Gibb Street. From its junction with Main Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 32 metres.


To Prohibit Loading Between 10am And 4pm All Days - On The Following Lengths Of Road:

High Street North side
From its junction with Market Place in an easterly direction to its junction with

Claye Street.
From the eastern kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 153 metres.

South side
From its junction with Market Place in an easterly direction to its junction with 

Claye Street.
From the western kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 1 metre. 

From a point 27 metres east of the western kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres.

From a point 27 metres east of the common boundary of properties No. 47 and No. 49 High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 63 metres.

Market Place
East side
From its junction with High Street in a north-easterly direction for its entire length.

West side
From its junction with High Street in a north-easterly direction for its entire length.


To Introduce Blue Badge Holder Parking Places For 3 Hours (No Return Within 1 Hour) At Any Time - On The Following Lengths Of Road:

Main Street West side
From a point 32 metres north of the northern kerbline of Clifford Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 12 metres.

East side
From a point 55 metres south-east of its junction with Brown’s Road in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 7 metres.


To Introduce A Loading Only Bay To Operate 4pm To 10am All Days - On The Following Length(S) Of Road(S):

High Street South side
From a point 1 metre east of the eastern kerbline of Claye Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 26 metres.

From a point 3 metres east of the common boundary of properties No. 47 and No. 49 High Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 23 metres.

Market Place South side
From the eastern kerbline of Tamworth Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres. 

The following restriction is proposed under Regulations issued by the Secretary of State and contained within The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 (as amended).

To Prohibit Stopping By Vehicles On Bus Stop Clearway At Any Time On The Following Lengths Of Road:

Market Place East of Market Place
Layby on east side of the main carriageway from a point 42 metres south of its junction with Regent Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 51 metres.

Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, have been revoked.

A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Long Eaton Library, Tamworth Rd, Long Eaton, NG10 1JG and at Erewash Borough Council Town Hall, Derby Rd, Long Eaton, NG10 1HU, during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk quoting reference Z3348S, until 6 weeks after the Order is made.

All objections and other representations to the proposal must (a) be made in writing (b) state the grounds on which they are made (c) provide a name and address for contact purposes (d) be sent to the Executive Director - Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team quoting reference Z3348S) or email place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk by
