What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.10) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the said length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 2nd April 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. To temporarily close the said lengths of roads in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. To temporarily close the said length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

Crescent Road, Warley From its junction with Cromwell Road to its junction with Milton Road a distance of approximately 365m. Cromwell Road, Milton Road and vice versa.

(Wigley Bush Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wigley Bush Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 140m north west of its junction with Weald Park Way for a distance of approximately 305m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd April 2025 for 25 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013320271 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Weald Road, Weald Park Way and vice versa (with access only into Wigley Bush Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 2nd April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Alexander Lane, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Alexander Lane, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Long Ridings Avenue for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2025 for 1 night (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SSV-20-47-080425 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, Hutton Road, Rayleigh Road, Alexander Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 19th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chivers Road, Stondon Massey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chivers Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 80m north east of its junction with Clapgate West for a distance of approximately 115m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (MX05610249645 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Tipps Cross Lane, Hook End Road, Blackmore Road, School Road, Chivers Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 19th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Little Warley Hall Lane, Little Warley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Warley Hall Lane, Little Warley in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Rectory Chase for a distance of approximately 235m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30093923351 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electrical supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Little Warley Hall Lane, Southend Arterial Road, Eastbound Slip from A127 to A128, Halfway House Roundabout, Westbound Slip From A128 To A127, Southend Arterial Road, Slip From A127 to B186 Westbound, Link Between A127 to B186 Westbound, Warley Street, Slip Road From B186 to A127 Eastbound, Southend Arterial Road.

2. Little Warley Hall Lane, Magpie Lane, Childerditch Lane, Southend Arterial Road, Eastbound Slip From A127 to A128, Halfway House Roundabout, Westbound Slip From A128 To A127, Southend Arterial Road, Slip Road From A127 To B186 Westbound, Link Between A127 And B186 Westbound, Warley Street, Slip Road From A127 To B186 Eastbound, Southend Arterial Road.

The Order came into effect on 19th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nine Ashes Road, Blackmore) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Blackmore Road, Stondon Massey/ Blackmore) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Nine Ashes Road, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Redrose Lane to its junction with Meadow Rise a distance of approximately 175m.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Blackmore Road, Stondon Massey/Blackmore, from the junction with Ongar Road to the junction of Nine Ashes Road as cited in the “ The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Brentwood And Epping Forest District) (Weight Restriction) (Variation) Order 1987” for the duration of the closure only. The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 5th April 2025 for 13 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231012661A – Ferns Surfacing). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway construction
works are undertaken by Ferns Surfacing.

An alternative route is available via Nine Ashes Road, Ongar Road, Blackmore Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 26th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Princes Road, Navestock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Princes Road, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Tan House Lane to its junction with Wheelers Lane a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th April 2025 for 22 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5021001396496 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Tan House Lane, Dytchleys Road, Dytchleys Lane, Coxtie Green Road, Wheelers Lane and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 19th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
