Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Infrastructure Works

(London Road, Maldon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 215m south east of its junction with Cut A Thwart Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd April 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WDSDP30B - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via London Road, High Street, Spital Road, Spital Road Roundabout, Wycke Hill, Limebrook Roundabout, Maldon Road, Oak Corner, Chelmsford Road, Maldon Road, Little Baddow Road, The Ridge, North Hill, Worlds End, Mowden Hall Lane, London Road, The Street, Maldon Road, Ulting Road, Crouchmans Farm Road, The Causeway, Hoe Mill Road, Rectory Road, The Street, Church Hill, Herbage Park Road, Old London Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 3rd April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Silver Street/Beeleigh Road, Maldon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Silver Street/Beeleigh Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from the junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 380m in a northerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th April 2025 for 29 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001390310/AZ5011001390253 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via High Street and vice versa (with access only through Gate Street). The Order will come into effect on 3rd April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fambridge Road, Purleigh in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Barons Lane for a distance of approximately 765m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC117000000000307583DNO1 - Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Fambridge Road, Barons Lane, Chelmsford Road, Burnham Road, Oak Corner, Southend Road, Maldon Road - B1418, Hyde Lane, White Elm Road, Main Road, Burnham Road, Saltcoats Roundabout, Woodham Road, Lower Burnham Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 20th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Tolleshunt D'arcy)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Tolleshunt D'arcy in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 100m south west of its junction with Beckingham Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT2489055123032024 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Goldhanger Road, Colchester Road, Broad Street Green Road, Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Church Road, Factory Hill, D'arcy Road, Oxley Hill, Kelvedon Road, South Street, Church Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 20th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Oak Farm Road, Woodham Walter)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oak Farm Road, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 35m north east of its junction with Old London Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M133722 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Oak Farm Road, Old London Road, Herbage Park Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 20th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)
Order (No.6) 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Maldon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per the schedule for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 20th March 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
