Sloe Hill, Halstead - Temporary Road Closure due to New Connection Works

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sloe Hill, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 100m north west of its junction with Beridge Road for a distance of approximately 135m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001406794 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Braintree Road, Gosfield Road, Halstead Road, Pennypot Corner, Bournebridge Hill, Braintree Road, Mount Hill and vice versa (with access only into Halstead Road, White Ash Green, Sloe Hill and Chapel Hill).
The Order will come into effect on 3rd April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
