What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SUTTON MILL ROAD, POTTON)

(TEMPORARY NO STOPPING OR WAITING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from stopping or waiting along the length of Sutton Mill Road, Potton at its junction with Sandy Road.

This temporary no stopping or waiting is required to allow construction vehicles access to the construction site and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the no stopping or waiting will be in force from 16 April 2025 to 15 October 2026 as follows;

7:30am and 6:30pm on Weekdays

7:30am and 1:30pm on Saturdays

The order will be in operation until the proposed works have been completed.

Any vehicles found to be in contravention of this order will be removed from the public highway and stored until the registered owner arranges collection.

The Order will come into operation on 16 April 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STATION ROAD, LOWER STONDON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Lower Stondon between number 113 and 115.

This temporary closure is required to enable new electrical connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 31 March to 4 April 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Shillington Road, High Road, Aspley End Road, B655, A600 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 31 March 2025 for a period of two months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact TBF Traffic – 01449490865.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MOGGERHANGER: PART OF FOOTPATH NO.4)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along part of Footpath No. 4, Moggerhanger which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1600 4960 reference to OS GR TL 1567 5016.

This temporary closure is required to allow the Environment Agency to carry out emergency repairs to the riverbank which is undermining the footpath. The closure is expected to take place from 3rd April 2025 until 2nd October 2025.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be to follow the footpath along the other side of the watercourse, along Moggerhanger Footpath No. 3 or Footpath No. 5.

If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
