PROPOSAL TO CHANGE THE DESIGNATION OF GROVE PARK SCHOOL
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 19 (3) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013 that the Interim Executive Board (IEB) of Grove Park School, Church Road, Crowborough TN6 1BN is proposing to change the designation of Grove Park School with effect from 1 September 2025.
The proposal is to change the type of need catered for by the school. Grove Park School currently has a formal designation of profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The IEB is proposing to change the type of need catered for by the school from its current designation to PMLD, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD) with effect from 1 September 2025.
The IEB is publishing the proposal. The proposal is not related to any other school organisation proposal which has been or is about to be published. East Sussex County Council, as the Local Authority, will determine the proposal.

Explanatory Notes
East Sussex County Council will determine the statutory proposal within two months of the end of the representation period. If the Council fails to determine the proposal within this time, it will pass all relevant material to the Schools Adjudicator who will determine the proposal.

The East Sussex (Footpath Buxted 24, Buxted) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2012
To protect public safety, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County Council’s Order made on 21 September 2012 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
Public Footpath Buxted 24 will be closed between the junction of Buxted Footpath 23 for 1100 metres to its junction with Chillies Lane. The footpath will be closed to all users. An alternative route is available via Chillies Lane, Footpath Buxted 29, Perryman’s Lane and Footpath Buxted 23b.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 30 March 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.
