BAGGER WOOD ROAD, HOOD GREEN/EASTFIELD LANE, HOOD GREEN/HAND LANE, CRANE MOOR/HOLLIN MOOR LANE, THURGOLAND/NORTH LANE, CAWTHORNE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close the full length of the following:
Bagger Wood Road, from 2 April 2025 for approximately two days, diversion: Hood Green Road, Lowe Lane, Gilroyd Lane, Keresforth Road (B6099), High Street (B6099), Dodworth Green Road (B6449), Ben Bank Road (B6449), Knabbs Lane (B6449), Coates Lane (B6449), Copster Lane (A629), Rag Lane (A629), Roper Lane, Thurgoland Hall Lane.
Eastfield Lane, from 2 April 2025 for approximately two days, diversion: Pinfold Lane, Thurgoland Hall Lane, Hollin Moor Lane, Bagger Wood Road, Bagger Wood Hill.
Hand Lane, from 3 April 2025 for approximately two days, diversion: Crane Moor Road, Halifax Road (A629), Smithy Hill, Roper Lane, Thurgoland Hall Lane.
Hollin Moor Lane, from 2 April 2025 for approximately two days, diversion: Hood Green Road, Lowe Lane, Gilroyd Lane, Keresforth Road (B6099), High Street (B6099), Dodworth Green Road (B6449), Ben Bank Road (B6449), Knabbs Lane (B6449), Coates Lane (B6449), Copster Lane (A629), Rag Lane (A629), Roper Lane, Thurgoland Hall Lane.
North Lane, from 3 April 2025 for approximately two days, diversion: Lane Head Road (A635), Barnsley Road (A635), Penistone Road (A629), Huddersfield Road (A629), Halifax Road (A629), Crabtree Hill Lane, Renald Lane, Gadding Moor Road and vice versa.
Only one street will be closed at any one time.
Reason: excavate trial holes to locate services.

HILL TOP ROAD, BIRDWELL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Hill Top Road, from Rockley Avenue to Balk Lane, from 31 March 2025 for approximately one week, from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Reason: carriageway resurfacing works.
An alternative route is available via: Balk Lane/Worsbrough Road.

SOMERSET STREET, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Somerset Street from Summer Lane to Buckden Road, on 31st March 2025 for one day only.
Reason: Enable mechanical lift for works on telecoms mast .
An alternative route is available via: Summer Lane, Fitzwilliam Street, Sackville Street, Rock Street, Airton Road, Prospect Street, Buckden Road.

An order has been made to close the full length of Queen Street, from 31 March 2025 for approximately three weeks. The road will be closed weekdays only from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

An order will be made to close Wood Lane from Carlton Road to Stocks Hill Close, from 7th April 2025 for approximately 5 days.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Whams Road from Whams Lodge to Station House, from 7th April 2025 for approximately 3 weeks.
Reason: Replacement of TPT bridge deck.
An alternative route is available via: (A616) Sheffield Road, (A635) Penistone Road, Holmfirth Road, (A629) Lane Head Road, Penistone Road, Huddersfield Road, Halifax Road, (A628) Barnsley Road, Thurlstone Road, Manchester Road, Whams Road.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a temporary 40mph speed restriction on Tankersley Lane from the Evri Depot to Black Lane, from 7th April 2025 for approximately one day.
Reason: Enable works to telecoms mast.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
An order will be made to introduce the below restrictions:
Greenfoot Lane – one-way closure between Huddersfield Road and Wilthorpe Avenue, allowing traffic to travel towards Huddersfield Road from Wilthorpe Avenue only from 7 April 2025 for approximately 1 week. An alternative route is available via Huddersfield Road/Wilthorpe Avenue.
Woodstock Road (between Huddersfield Road and Devonshire Drive)/Devonshire Drive (full length)/Willow Bank (between Smithies Lane and Devonshire Drive) – one-way closure allowing traffic to travel in a counterclockwise direction only from Smithies Lane to Huddersfield Road, from 22 April 2025. An alternative route is available via Huddersfield Road/Cavendish Road/Smithies Lane.
Wilthorpe Avenue – full closure between no. 61 and no. 67 from 12 May 2025 for approximately 3 days.
Wilthorpe Cresent – full length closure from 12 May 2025 for approximately 2 weeks. An alternative route is available via Wilthorpe Avenue. Road closed during working day with access available outside these times.
Closures may be intermittent and implemented as required.
Reason: Water main replacement.

An order will be made to close Hog Close Lane from Slack Top Lane to Upper Woodroyd Barn, from 10th April 2025 for approximately 1 day.
Reason: Exchange water meter.
An alternative route is available via: Slack Top Lane, Hey Slack Lane, Haddingley Lane, Piper Well Lane, Holmfirth Road, Penistone Road, Sheffield Road, Wood Royd Hill Lane, Hog Close Lane.
