PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(BIRMINGHAM NEW ROAD FOOTPATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting pedestrians from proceeding on the footpath between Birmingham New Road and Prestons Row.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of six months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 7 April 2025 until 9 April 2025.
The diversion route is: Birmingham New Road, Spring Road, Footpath between Spring Road and Clapgate Gardens, Clapgate Gardens, Footpath between Clapgate Gardens and Stonedown Close, Stonedown Close,
Overfield Drive, Prestons Row and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a small PRV renewal by Severn Trent Water.
