Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025
– Bretton Way                                                 
Ref: 25-316

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bretton Way, southbound carriageway as lies between Bretton Way roundabout 51 and Loder Avenue. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Bretton Way, Bretton Gate, A47. The proposed order will come into force on the 28/03/2025 and will continue until the remedial resurfacing works have been completed or until the 27/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 28/03/2025 and the 29/03/2025. The City of Peterborough Maxey Road, Helpston, Peterborough.
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025
Ref: 25-325

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Maxey Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Maxey Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: B1443 Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd, High St and vice versa.The proposed Order will come into force on the 06/04/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing test works have been completed or until the 05/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 23:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 06/04/2025 to the 07/04/2025. 2025 – Lincoln Road, Glinton, Peterborough

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Lincoln Road, Glinton, as lies between High Street and A15 Paston Parkway. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: B1443 High Street, Peakirk Road, St Pegas Road, Thorney Road, A16 Spalding Road, A47, A15 and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 07/04/2025 and will continue until the water mains repair works have been completed or until the 06/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from the 07/04/2025 to the 09/04/2025. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the above schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 07/04/2025 and will continue until the manhole cleaning and maintenance works have been completed or until the 06/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from the 07/04/2025 to the 09/04/2025. – Old Oundle Road, Thornhaugh, Peterborough

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Old Oundle Road, Thornhaugh, as lies between A47 and Hall Lane (Wittering 1 Section 1 Bridleway). The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: A47, A43, A1175 Kettering Road, A1 and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/04/2025 and will continue until the new electricity supply works have been completed or until the 07/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs on the 08/04/2025 only. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as High Field Road, Ashton at its eastbound junction with Bainton Green Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bainton Green Road, Ufford Road, Helpston Road, Bainton Green Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/04/2025 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 07/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from the 08/04/2025 to the 10/04/2025. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fletton Parkway, junction 3 westbound entry slip for it’s entire length. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Fletton Parkway junction 3 eastbound, off Fletton Parkway junction 3A, Fletton Parkway junction 3A westbound entry slip. The proposed order will come into force on the 07/04/2025 and will continue until the grass cutting and litter picking works have been completed or until the 06/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from 20:00 to 06:00 between the 07/04/2025 and the 08/04/2025. – Burns Close to St Pauls Road footpath – 2025
Ref: 25-324

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/ cycle path known as Burns Close to St Pauls Road footpath, as lies between St James Avenue and Burns Close. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Burns Close, Shakespear Avenue, Portland Avenue, St James Avenue and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 07/04/2025 and will continue until the utility repair and maintenance works have been completed or until the 06/10/2025, whichever is the earlier.
