NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53A(2)
THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 29 WITTON GILBERT PARISH) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025
The above order was made on 21 March 2025. The effect of the order will be to Divert Public Footpath No. 29 Witton Gilbert Parish from a point on the north side of the A691 (Witton Gilbert Bypass), proceeding in a generally northerly direction through a field to a stile to a line running from the same point on the north side of the A691, proceeding in a generally easterly, then north-easterly then north westerly direction through the housing development to the same point at a stile as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Sacriston library during normal opening hours and via the Council website.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Sharon Renwick, Legal Assistant, Legal and Democratic Services, PO Box 717, Stanley, County Durham, DH8 1HG or by e-mail to Highways.Orders@durham.gov.uk quoting reference number 9404628 no later than 24 April 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections to the Order are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, The County Council of Durham may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State For Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
