Halton Borough Council hereby gives notice that on 4 March 2025 it made The A533 (Mersey Gateway Bridge) and The A557 (Silver Jubilee Bridge) Road User Charging Scheme Order 2025 (the “Order”) pursuant to Part III of the Transport Act 2000. The Order will come into effect on 1 April 2025 and makes provision for the levying of road user charges and penalty charges, and for connected purposes. The Order applies to vehicles used or kept on the Silver Jubilee and Mersey Gateway Bridges between Runcorn and Widnes and on the approach roads thereto.

Copies of the Order may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours (9.00 am – 4.30 pm Monday to Friday) at Halton Direct Link, Brook Street, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 6NB, Halton Direct Link, Runcorn Shopping City, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 2ES or on the website www.merseygateway.co.uk.
