Carr Moss Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow Urgent Repair Works

What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(C106 CARR MOSS LANE, HALSALL, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any class of traffic to proceed over that length of C106 Carr Moss Lane, Halsall from the western boundary of property number 235 to the eastern boundary of property number 273.

2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.

3. The prohibition will be operative from 0000 hours on Sunday 23rd March 2025 until 1700 hours on Monday 31st March 2025 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.

5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- C106 Carr Moss Lane, Halsall – A5147 New Street, Halsall – A5147 Halsall Road, Halsall – C107 Gregory Lane, Halsall – C107 New Cut Lane, Halsall (into Sefton Borough) – Halsall Road, Sefton Borough – Guildford Road, Sefton Borough – Heathfield Road, Sefton Borough – Mill Road, Sefton Borough – Segars Lane, Sefton Borough (into West Lancashire Borough) – C106 Segars Lane, Halsall – C106 Carr Moss Lane, Halsall and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow urgent repair works to rectify a high voltage service outage to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of Electricity North West.
