(Various Traffic Movements) Order 2025 – Amendment Order No.2 2025

Leeds City Council has today made the above-named Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 122 and 124 (and part IV of Schedule 9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police. The effect of this Amendment Order, which comes into effect on 31 March 2025 is to introduce: 1. Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes Gross Weight (except for access) on: the entire lengths of Embleton Rd; Hazel Rise; Hungate La; Park La; Pinders Green Court/Drive/Fold/Walk; Watergate; and on Newmarket La, from its junction with Watergate in a SW direction to Wakefield District Boundary. 2. All Vehicles Prohibited (Point Closure) All days, All Hours on: Regent Park Ave; from its junction with Headingley Lane in a NE direction for 5m & St Michaels Rd; from Otley Rd for 16m in a SW direction. 3. All Vehicles Prohibited (Gap Closure) All Days & All Hours on: the whole of the gap in the central reservation on Woodhouse La opposite Cliff Rd. 4. Prohibition of Right Turns from Headingly La onto Victoria Rd and from Rampart Rd onto Woodhouse Lane. 5. Prohibition of Left Turn: from Clarendon Rd onto Woodhouse La and from Victoria Rd to Headingly La. 6. One Way Street on: Cliff Rd; from its junction with Woodhouse St in a southerly direction to Headingley La and on St Marks St; from its junction with Woodhouse La for 10m in a NE direction. 7. One Way Traffic for all Vehicles except Cycles on Elmwood La, Sheepscar; from its junction with Lovell Park Rd in a NW direction to a point 19m SE of Clay Pit Lane. 8. No Right Turn: from Broadway onto Park Side; Horsforth. 9. Left Turn Only Manoeuvre from Calverley Bridge to Horsforth New Rd; from Calverley La onto Broadway and from Rose Terrace to Broadway; Horsforth. The above restrictions were originally advertised under Order Nos. M1523, M1723, M0124 & M0224 respectively and by virtue of this Amendment Order have now been incorporated as amendments to ‘The Leeds City Council Various Roads, Metropolitan District of Leeds) (Various Traffic Movements) Order 2025’, which comprises map-based schedules and an electronic map-based system. A copy of the Amendment Order, together with related documentation may be obtained by e-mailing troteam@leeds. gov.uk. If you wish to object to question the validity of this Amendment Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
