Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Temporary Road Closures:

WA29/0425 - SD001069 - The Holloway in the parish of Wellington Without. The Holloway from the junction with Chitterwell Bridge Road to the junction with Farthing Down Lane. A total distance of 335 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased prep works, surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on Behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 27th March 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to commence any time after 1st April 2025. The phased works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place. The works are phased and there may be a need for additional closures at a later date. Notifications will be sent for these. Please visit www.one.network for further information on the alternative route. Please note that should you require to view a closure which is more than two weeks ahead, you will need to register for free with One.Network. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. Advanced warning signs will be installed 10 days prior to the commencement of works for each closure.
