M27 MOTORWAY - JUNCTIONS 8 TO 9 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M27 Motorway in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because of the likelihood of danger to public.
This forms an extension of Temporary Notice NH/2025/E184 (which it thereby replaces) as permitted by The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 (a), Regulation 7.
The effect of the Order is to impose a 24-hour 40mph speed limit on the eastbound carriageway of the M27 between a point approximately 60 metres south-east of the centreline of Dodwell Lane overbridge and a point approximately 787 metres south-east of the centreline of Blundell Lane overbridge. This measure is in the interests of road safety owing to the danger to the public posed by parapet damage.
The Order will come into force on 31st March 2025 and continue for 18 months or until the danger has passed, whichever is sooner. The temporary speed limit will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the danger period.
