(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On the 27 March 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule below, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. The temporary road closures will be carried out in various phases and at times two side roads may be closed at the one-time during phases of the resurfacing works.
This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Sunday, 06 April 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 20 April 2025. The temporary road closures will only come into operation when road closures and diversion route signing is in place. In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on the A81 Milngavie Road, Bearsden, between its junctions with MacFarlane Road and Kessington Road, Bearsden, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.
