ORDER 2025 EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
(THIS STATEMENT DOES NOT FORM PART OF THE ORDER)
The above-named Order made on 24 March 2025 will permanently divert Footpath 19 Maidenhead (part). The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is satisfied that the above application meets the necessary legal criteria for a Diversion Order to be made. The diversion is expedient to the landowner and does not negatively affect the enjoyment of the path. The standard of the path surface will be improved and a permitted cycle link will be created as a result of the diversion.
In addition the diversion of the footpath facilitates the creation of extra football pitches on the site which will be of wider benefit to the local population.
