TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON STRATFIELD AVENUE IN TADLEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 122 (1) and 122 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS: Will be to introduce No waiting at any time restrictions along Candower Close, Stratfield Avenue and Winchfield Gardens as detailed in the following schedule:

(Opening hours: Monday & Thursday – Saturday: 09:30 – 17:00; Tuesday: 09:30 – 13:00)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5:15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to the Traffic Orders Team, at the above address or emailed to public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: - A20752/MB, by Friday 18th April 2025. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letters or emails you send may be open to public inspection. You may also make a request to the Council to be treated as confidential and to not disclose your name or address.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (The Borough of Basingstoke and Deane) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2021 (Variation No. 141) (Stratfield Avenue, Tadley) Order 2025”.
