Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Berwick Road, Welling - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Morrison Water Services Ltd to undertake repair and maintenance works in the footway and carriageway, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic from the junction with Upper Wickham Lane to approx. 20m into Berwick Road, Welling

  2. The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

    • Upper Wickham Lane, Okehampton Crescent, Lyme Road, Berwick Road, and reverse.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Colyers Lane, Erith - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Forefront Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake utility asset works in the footway and carriageway, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition from 162 to 168 Colyers Lane, Erith (both sides of the carriageway)

    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Myrtle Close at the side of 164 and 166 Colyers Lane, Erith (both sides of the carriageway)

  2. The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 14 days.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

North Cray Road and Water Lane, Sidcup – Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

  • Prohibition of traffic on North Cray Road from the junction with Leafield Lane to the junction with the North Cray Roundabout, Sidcup

  • Prohibition of traffic on North Cray Road from the junction with the North Cray Roundabout to the junction with Honeyden Road, Bexley

  • Prohibition of traffic on North Cray Road running parallel from 182 to 166 and 176 Ellenborough Road, Bexley

  • Prohibition of traffic on Water Lane from the entrance slip (side of The White Cross Public House) to outside No. 2 Water Lane, Sidcup

  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on North Cray Road from the junction with Leafield Lane to the junction with North Cray Roundabout, Bexley

  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on North Cray Road from the junction with North Cray Roundabout to the junction with Honeyden Road, Bexley

  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on North Cray Road running parallel from 182 Ellenborough Road to 166 and 176 Ellenborough Road, Sidcup

  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Water Lane from entrance slip (S/O The White Cross Public House) to the side of number 2 Water Lane, Sidcup

  1. The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 7 days with some works being undertaken at night from 1900 to 0200.

  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

    • Maidstone Road, Birchwood Road, Leyton Cross Road, Oakfield Lane, Old Bexley Lane, Dartford Road, Vicarage Road, North Cray Road.

  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Pinewood Road, Abbey Wood – Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic on Pinewood Road, Abbey Wood – entire road

    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition – entire road, both sides of the carriageway

    Restrictions will be removed when not required.

  2. The Order will come into effect on 3 April 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via: Burcharbro Road, West Heath Road and reverse.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Lyndon Avenue and Westwood Lane, Sidcup – Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Network Power Connections on behalf of UK Power Networks to install an electrical cable in the carriageway on Westwood Lane, Sidcup they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

  • Prohibition of traffic on Lyndon Avenue from the junction with Westwood Lane, Sidcup for 50 metres.

  • Cycle Lane suspension on Westwood Lane, Sidcup from the car park of The George Staples Public House to the A2 underpass on Westwood Lane, Sidcup

  1. The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.

  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

    • Westwood Lane, Blackfen Road, Curran Avenue and reverse.

    • The emergency gate will be unlocked for the duration of these works to allow emergency vehicles and residents access.
