Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Closures for Safety and Development Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 CHANCERY ROAD AND WEST END ROAD
AND THE B1075 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
? The A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road
? The A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 meters westbound
? The B1075 Princes Street, Ipswich from Burrell Road to Civic Drive.
This is to facilitate disorder control and crowd safety during a football game. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/04/2025 from 2pm - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 34, BRAMFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 34, Bramford for safety reasons whilst housing development works commence. Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
The alternative route is Footpath 35, Bramford to the junction with the B1113, Fitzgerald Road, Vicarage Road and vice versa.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 07/03/2025.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 06/09/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
