What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below...

HERTFORD ROAD TURKEY STREET AND ST.STEPHENS ROAD EN3 - 4470

Reason for 14(1) Order — Essential utility works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” between 5 April and 13 April 2025;

Between 24 May and 2 June 2025.

The general effect of the Order would be to on:

  • Suspend parking and suspend the cycle lane on this road from outside Nos.596/597 to the junction with St Stephens Road;

    Turkey Street EN3

  • Close this road at the junction with Hertford Road EN3, westwards for approximately 55 metres

    St Stephens Road EN3

  • Close this road at the junction with Hertford Road EN3. While Turkey Street and St Stephens Road is closed local diversions would be in operation.

RIDGE CREST EN2 – 4471

Reason for 14(1) Order — Essential utility works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 5 April 2025 for 16 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road at its junction with Ridgeway EN2 south-westwards for approximately 15 metres. While this road is closed local diversions would be in operation.

BULLSMOOR LANE EN1 – 4472

Reason for 14(1) Order — UKPN works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 5 April 2025 for 8 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to suspend parking on both sides of this road from its junction with Bulls Cross to its junction with the A10 Great Cambridge Road.

THE ACCESS ROAD FRONTING 1740-1750 GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD EN1 – 4473

Reason for 14(1) Order — Essential utility works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 7 April 2025 for 11 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking on both sides of this road from its junction with Bullsmoor Lane to outside Nos. 1746/1748. While this road is closed local diversions would be in operation.

SOUTHBURY ROAD AND SILVER STREET EN1 - 4474

Reason for 14(1) Order — Water Works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 7 April 2025 for 6 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

  • Close Silver Street to southbound traffic from its junction with Churchbury Lane; and

  • Close Southbury Road from its junction with Silver Street eastwards for approximately 50 metres.

    While these roads are closed, local diversions will be in operation.

WILFORD CLOSE EN2 – 4475

Reason for 14(1) Order — Essential utility works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 7 April 2025 for 6 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking on both sides of this road from its junction Little Park Gardens EN2.

THE RIDE AND COWLAND AVENUE EN3 – 4476

Reason for 14(1) Order — Water works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 7 April 2025 for 8 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be on both sides of these roads:

  • The Ride EN3 suspend parking from No.119 to a point in line with the western flank wall of No.107; and

  • The Ride EN3 within the Western flank wall of No.107 westwards for approximately 25 metres; and

  • Cowland Avenue EN3 suspend parking from its junction with The Ride to outside Nos. 7/9 Cowland Avenue EN3.

BEDFORD CRESCENT EN3 – 4477

Reason for 14(1) Order — Water works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 7 April 2025 for 8 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to close this road and suspend parking on both sides of this road from its junction Princess Avenue EN3 to outside Nos.31/33 Bedford Crescent EN3.

CHASE ROAD AND DALRYMPLE CLOSE N14 – 4478

Reason for 14(1) Order — Essential utility works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 8 April 2025 for 7 days or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to on both sides of these roads:

  • Chase Road N14 suspend parking from the junction with Dalrymple close to Nos.141/143; and

  • Dalrymple Close N14 suspend parking from a point 27 metres from the junction with Chase Road north-eastwards for approximately 24 metres.

WELLINGTON ROAD AND CRAWLEY ROAD EN1 – 4479

Reason for 14(1) Order — Water works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 9 April 2025 for 1 day or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order would be to on both sides of these roads:

  • Wellington Road EN1, suspend parking between its junctions with Clovelly Gardens and Ash Grove EN1; and

  • Crawley Road EN1, suspend parking from its junction with Wellington Road to outside Nos. 42/44 Crawley Road EN1.

LONDON ROAD EN2 – 4480

Reason for 14(1) Order — Water works

Operational Date and Times:

“At Any time” on 9 April 2025 for 1 day or until works are completed.

**The general effect of the Order would be to close the southbound cycle lane on this road from a point in line with the northern flank wall of Holy Family of Nazareth Convent, to a point in line with the southern flank wall of Cecil Court, London Road EN2. While the cycle lane is closed cyclists would be required to dismount and walk on the main carriageway to continue cycling.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply to such extent as may be directed by Traffic signs. Access would be maintained only as far as the works allow.
