Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 27 March 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SECOND AVENUE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
(Reference TTRO-2134)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow CityFibre to carry out works to construct a new civils link to an existing chamber.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following lengths of road on 5th and 6th April 2025 (overnight 20:00-06:00 and 19:00-23:59): -
Second Avenue, Bletchley – its entire length.
Whilst the closure is in place there will be no alternative route as the Second Avenue has a dead end, however access to properties will be maintained where possible.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TIMBOLD DRIVE (PART), KENTS HILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2141)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following part of road to allow MV Kelly to undertake carriageway and footway works in connection with the residential development in the area.
7th April – 21st April 2025 (08:00 – 16:30)
Timbold Drive, Kents Hill – from its junction with Groveway to the southern entrance to Kents Hill Park School.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Groveway, Brickhill Street and Hawkhurst Gate (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HARTWELL ROAD (PART), HANSLOPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2119)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Hartwell Road, Hanslope to allow Clayson Country Homes to carryout service connections for gas, water, electric works.
The above closure will come into effect on 4th April 2025 and is scheduled to be reopened on 21st April 2025 (24 Hours).
Hartwell Road, Hanslope – From the junction of Forest Road to the junction of Glebe Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Forest Road, Wootton Road, Forest Road, Park Road, Hartwell Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD, NEW BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2069)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of road to allow DTC Construction Ltd to carry out new connection works:
7th April 2025 – 9th May 2025 (24 Hours)
Newport Road, New Bradwell – from its junction with Bradwell Road to its junction with Thompson Street.
Whilst the above closure is in place, the alternative route will be via Saxon Street, Monks Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY SW01 (PART) AND SHENLEY CHURCH END BRIDLEWAY 32, SHENLEY WOOD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2163)
In order for Ashvale Civil Engineering to undertake drainage connection works between 7th April and 24th April 2025 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Redway SW01, Shenley Wood – from its junction with Chalkdell Drive to its junction with Redway SCE05.
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route will be via Redway SCE05, the footpaths on Holy Thorn Lane and footpath from Holy Thorn Lane leading to Shenley Wood (and vice versa).
Shenley Church End Bridleway BW32, Shenley Wood – from its junction with Chalkdell Drive to its junction with Bridleway BW31.
Whilst the above length of bridleway is closed the alternative route will be via Bridleway BW31, the footpaths on Holy Thorn Lane and footpath from Holy Thorn Lane leading to Shenley Wood (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN OLNEY AND WAVENDON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2115)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following lengths of road on 14th April 2025 – 16th April 2025 (24 hours): -
Cross End Wavendon – Outside Number 2 Cross End.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Cross End, Lower End Road, Newport Road (and vice versa).
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following lengths of road on 8th April 2025 – 10th April 2025(24 hours): -
Dagnall Road Olney – between number 28 and 40 Dagnall Road.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Spring Lane, High Street, Weston Road (and vice versa).
Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 27 March 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 25 March 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2126)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow Removal of Haul Route Bridge continuation:
Newport Road, Moulsoe – Starting approximately 321m after London Road Junction for 100 meters. 3rd April 2025 – 7:00am 3rd July 2025 (24 Hours)
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Newport Road, Cranfield Road, Moulsoe Road, Cranfield Road, Broughton Road, Fen Street and Portway (and vice versa).
Warning signs will be erected several days in advance to inform the public of the forthcoming closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WATLING STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2122)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following part of road to allow Network Rail to undertake an examination of the railway bridge:
30th March & 31st March 2025 (overnight 21:00 – 04:00)
Watling Street, Bletchley – from its junction with Standing Way to its junction with Grafton Street
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Standing Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
