What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Parking, Glaisdale, Castleton, Scarborough, Scalby, Whitby & Sleights, Order 2025 No 101
We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the named roads due to footway slurry sealing works. Prohibition of Traffic:
High Street, Upper Underhill & St. Thomas Church, Glaisdale, Station Rd, Castleton, Belgrave Terrace, Scarborough, High Street, Scalby, Chancel Way, Priory Drive, Larpool Lane, Fairmead Court & Bluebell Grove, Whitby & Ingham Close, Sleights. It is envisaged that the closures will be in force from 01/04/25 until 31/10/25 inclusive, however the closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & local alternative routes will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Parking: Hall Lane, High Street, Upper Underhill & St. Thomas Church, Glaisdale Station Rd, Castleton, Belgrave Terrace, Seamer Road, Valley Rd & Castle Rd, Scarborough, Station Rd, High Street & North Street, Scalby, Mulgrave Rd - Cliff path, Chancel Way, Priory Drive, Larpool Lane, Fairmead Court, Bluebell Grove, Sandsend Rd, Mayfield Rd, Stainsacre Lane, Botany Way, Discovery Way, Cholmley Way, Helredale Rd, Rohilla Close, Victoria Farm to West Bourne Ave & Park & Ride Roundabout, Whitby & New Road North, New Road South, Coach Rd & Ingham Close, Sleights. Vehicles will also be prohibited from parking along the above roads, as & when works are in progress & will be put into effect by the placing of traffic signs.
