Worston Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WORSTON ROAD, CHATBURN, RIBBLE VALLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle (except for event participants) from proceeding over that length of Worston Road, Chatburn from its junction with Whalley Clitheroe Bypass to its junction with Clitheroe Road.in the Borough of Ribble Valley.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to facilitate filming project works carried out by Quay Street Production Ltd.
The prohibition will be operative from 0700 hours on 31st March 2025 until 0100 hours on 4th April 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
Vehicular access for residents and emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Whalley Clitheroe Bypass – Pimlico Link Road – Chatburn Road – Clitheroe Road and vice versa
AND FURTHER – Pedestrian and Cycle access will be maintained under stop and go traffic management to maintain public safety at this location during filming.
