Winkfield Lane, Winkfield - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Works
What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(WINKFIELD LANE, WINKFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:
a) Winkfield Lane, Winkfield, Bracknell in both directions between the junction of A330 Maidens Green and Crouch Lane, Winkfield
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: Cocks Lane, A330 Maidens Green, A330 Church Road, A330 Pigeonhouse Lane, B3022 North Street, Crouch Lane or by this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Cadent Gas relay and transfer Gas Services.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 31st March 2025, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place from the 31st March 2025 - 06th June 2025, all other times highway to remain open.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
