What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC NOTICE

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

EWLOE

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 21 March 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from travelling in a south easterly and southerly direction on Yowley Road, Ewloe in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of the closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 4 April 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 4 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

BUCKLEY

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 21 March 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Mount Pleasant Road, between its junctions with Drury Lane and Burntwood Road, Buckley, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate new electrical mains service with associated works by O’Connor Utilities Ltd on behalf of Scottish Power.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 10 April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 2 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

CONNAH’S QUAY

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Cestrian Street on a one-way restriction, between its junctions with High Street, Connah’s Quay, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement works with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of the closure.

The Order comes into force on the 25 March 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 7 days, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

RESTRICTED AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)

(A548 MOSTYN ROAD / BAGILLT ROAD & B5121 GREENFIELD ROAD, GREENFIELD)

(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 05) ORDER 202-

Flintshire County Council proposes to make an Order in exercise of its powers under Section 82 (2) (a) and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

(a) A speed limit of 30mph on the:-

A548 Mostyn Road/Bagillt Road, Greenfield

From a point 27 metres north west of its junction with Providence Court, to a point 244 metres north west of its junction with the B5121 Greenfield Road.

And

B5121 Greenfield Road, Greenfield

From its junction with the A548 Mostyn Road, for a distance of 45 metres in a south westerly direction.

In all other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.

Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose:

(a) A speed limit of 30mph on:-

B5125 Hawarden to Broughton: from a point 100 metres south east of its junction with Moor Lane, Hawarden to a point 249 metres south west of its junction with Moor Lane, Hawarden.

The proposed Order, if made will revoke Schedule 1 and 2 of The Flintshire County Council (A5104 and B5125 Hawarden to Broughton) (Restricted Road, 20mph, 40mph and 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2023 in its entirety and Schedule 3 and 4 will remain unchanged and will be consolidated into The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023.

In all other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.
