Watcombe Road, Bournemouth - Temporary Road Closures and Parking Restrictions due to Electrical Works
What is happening?

WATCOMBE ROAD AND ASSOC. ROADS, BOURNEMOUTH – ELECTRICAL WORKS
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN:
The following will be closed to all vehicles with no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time:
Watcombe Road, from the junction with Paisley Road to the junction with Cranleigh Road – phased closures, anticipated dates 14th April until 16th May 2025
Paisley Road, from the junction with Irving Road to the junction with Watcombe Road – phased closures, anticipated dates 26th August until 12th September 2025
Parkwood Road –
• From the junction with Beechwood Avenue to the junction with Woodside Road – phased closures, anticipated dates 24th July until 31st August 2025
• From the junction with West Road to the junction with Seabourne Road – phased closures, anticipated dates 13th September until 10th October 2025
• From the junction with Seabourne Road to the junction with Southbourne Road – phased closures, anticipated dates 13th September until 10th October 2025
No parking – no waiting at anytime and no loading/unloading at anytime:
Gloucester Road, southern side from outside No.49 (Gloucester House) suspension of police bay – anticipated dates 2nd June until 20th June 2025
The traffic management during these works will include barriers to prevent parking outside the property boundary of No.49 (Gloucester House) on the southern side of Gloucester Road.
WHY: To facilitate electrical works by SSE
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.
DIVERSION: Please follow the signed diversion routes for each road closure

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
