What is happening?

(DYFFRYN ROAD, ALLTWEN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.

The Order is necessary to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas main replacement works.

This Order will come into force on the 2nd June 2025 and shall continue in force for 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is envisaged the works will take 4 weeks to complete.

SCHEDULE
Dyffryn Road will be closed from the junction of Alltwen Hill in an easterly direction to the junction of A474 Graig Road.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Alltwen Hill and A474 Graig Road.

Access for Emergency services and the public will be maintained.
