Dudley - Various Road Closures & No Right Turn

What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 24/3/25 Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
made the following Orders,

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Elm Road,
Dudley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle
proceeding on Elm Road, Dudley, for the purpose of gas mains replacement works
being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on
31/3/25 and will remain in force until 7/4/25 or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will
be diverted via: Chestnut Avenue, Oak Road, Forest Road, and vice versa.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn
and Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn) (Birmingham New Road, Dudley) Order
2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle from turning right from
Birmingham New Road into Tipton Road, Dudley, and to temporarily prohibit any
vehicle from turning left from Birmingham New Road, into Dudley Road, Dudley, for
the purpose of the installation of a HV cable being carried out on or near the affected
road. The order will come into operation on 1/4/25 and will remain in force until
9/4/25 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The restrictions will
be in place from 19:00 until 06:00 each day only. The maximum duration of the order
is 18 months. Traffic turning right will be diverted via: Birmingham New Road,
Birmingham Road, Castle Gate Island, and Tipton Road. Traffic turning left will be
diverted via Tipton Road (southbound), Castle Gate Island, Tipton Road
(northbound) and Dudley Road.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Roads adjoining
Cinder Bank, Netherton) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit
any vehicle proceeding on New Road, Corbetts Industrial Estate, Swan Street,
Simms Lane, Park Road, St Giles Street, and Baptist End Road, Netherton for the
purpose of carriageway reconstruction being carried out on or near the affected road.
The order will come into operation on 1/4/25 and will remain in force until 8/4/25 or
until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the
order is 18 months. No diversion route is required. Closures will be short duration
and traffic directed by marshalls.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do
