Havant Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Havant Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.34) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 4th April 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
HAVANT ROAD (WESTBOUND)
From its junction with Eastern Road to its junction with Farlington Avenue.
FARLINGTON AVENUE
From its junction with Evelegh Road to its junction with Havant Road
B) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
COPSEY CLOSE FOOTPATH SIDE OF NO.2
From Copsey Close to Havant Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas main works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th April 2025 to 14th April 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Eastern Road, Grove Road, Old Manor Way, Lonsdale Avenue, Knowsley Road, High Street, Vectis Way, Wayte Street, Northern Road; and
Havant Road, Bedhampton Roundabout, Bedhampton Hill, Portsdown Hill Road, London Road Southbound Link Road From Portsdown Hill Road, London Road, Northern Road.
Farlington Avenue, Evelegh Road, Galt Road, Havant Road and Farlington Avenue, Solent Road and Portsdown Avenue.
HGV Diversion - Eastern Road, Eastern Road Roundabout, A27 Trunk Road Eastern Road Roundabout On Slip From A2030 To East, A27 Trunk Road Eastern Road Roundabout Off Slip To A2030 From East, Portsbridge Roundabout Off Slip To A3 A27 And A397, Portsbridge Roundabout, Northern Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Copsey Footpath Diversion: Copsey Close, Copsey Grove, Lealand Grove, Lealand Road, Havant Road and vice versa.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
