What is happening?

The Kingston Upon Hull City Council

Stalybridge Avenue (Part) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Stalybridge Avenue, from the junction of Stone Bridge Avenue to Uxbridge Gove, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to install valve and washout.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 7th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am to 6pm commencing 7th April 2025 until 11th April 2025.

Marfleet Lane (Part) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Marfleet Lane, opposite number 440, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to revisit a fault within a telecoms build.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will come into effect 12th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed overnight from 8pm on 12th April 2025 to 6am on 13th April 2025.

Danube Road (Part) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Danube Road, outside numbers 171 to 178, at the corner with Worcester Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the installing and connecting of pipe works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 7th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7th April 2025 to 13th June 2025.

Queens Road (Part) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Queens Road Roundabout, at its junction with Princes Avenue. 

Also, the suspension of the one-way system on Princes Road to allow two way traffic flows for the duration of the Order. 

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas mains replacement and carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 7th April 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7th April 2025 to 9th May 2025.

Ings Road/Sutton House Road/Minster Close (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the 17th March 2025 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 24th March 2025.

The effect of the Order is to install new double yellow lines at the junction of Sutton House Road/Minster Close and on Sutton House Road, on the inside of the bend along the frontage of property numbers 24-28.

These double yellow lines are considered necessary to ensure visibility and facilitate traffic flow.

It is also proposed to prohibit waiting on the northeastern side of Ings Road outside property numbers 334-340 on Monday to Friday, during the periods 8-9am and 3-4pm. 

This is considered necessary to regulate on-street parking during school peak times to ensure traffic flow on this section of Ings Road. 

A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, The Kingston upon Hull, reference JGO/39800-1475.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 17th March 2025, apply to the High court for this purpose.


Sextant Road/Evergreen Drive/Greylees Avenue (Prohibition Of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the 17th March 2025 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 24th March 2025.

The effect of the Order is to install new double yellow lines on Sextant Road between the junctions with Compass Road and Sextant Road, and at the junctions of Evergreen Drive with Beverley Road and Greylees Avenue.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to provide visibility of oncoming vehicles, ensure access to properties and to facilitate traffic flow A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, The Kingston upon Hull, reference JGO/39800-1493.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 17th March 2025, apply to the High court for this purpose.
