Coggeshall, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

(Colne Road, Coggeshall)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colne Road, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 110m south of its junction with Tey Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th April 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01454622544 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while trial hole works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Upper Holt Street, Lower Holt Street, Colneford Hill, Colchester Road, Teyburn Hill, Colchester Road, Halstead Road, Ford Road, Fordstreet Hill, Halstead Road, Essex Yeomanry Way, Tollgate Roundabout, London Road, Prince of Wales Roundabout, A120 / A12 between Roundabouts, Marks Tey Roundabout, A120 (with access only into Colne Road and Coggeshall Road).

The Order will come into effect on 28th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queen Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Stoneham Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC006ES24T15072908SERC – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre optic installation works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Queen Street, Wade Lane, Church Street, Stoneham Street, Queen Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
