What is happening?
(Footpath 64, Coggeshall)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close the Footpath 64, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree from East Street, south for approximately 104 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 24 March 2025 to 31 May 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the new development is completed. The footpath will be resurfaced during this period.
Alternative route: will be via a temporary route through the development site.
The Order will come into effect on 24 March 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Broadoaks Crescent, Braintree & Bocking)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Broadoaks Crescent, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bridport Way for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD31565232185/FH — Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant repairs works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Bridport Way and vice versa (which connects back into Broadoaks Crescent).
The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Capel Close, Rayne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Capel Close, Rayne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m east of its junction with Capel Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310780883 — Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
No alternative route is available for this closure.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane/Deanery Hill, Bocking in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 30m south west of the junction with Brand Court for a distance of approximately 105m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th April 2025 for 23 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001403719 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Silver Street, Meadside, Finchingfield Road, Wethersfield Road, Church Hill, The Green, Braintree Road, Bridge End, Dunmow Road From Brand End To Notley Road, The Broadway, Church End, Church Street, Lime Tree Hill, The Causeway, North Street, Market Place, High Street, Chelmsford Road, A120, Braintree Bypass – A131, Broad Road Roundabout, Broad Road, Convent Hill, Church Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Manor Street, Braintree & Bocking)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Street, Braintree & Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Cammells Close for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310781524 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
No alternative route is available for this closure.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 220m south west of the junction with Braintree Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a south westerly direction and from a point approximately 30m south of the junction with Bulford Lane for a distance of approximately 85m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP00312010792 – Tamdown Group Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while foul connection works are undertaken by Tamdown Group Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Braintree Road and vice versa (with access only into Mill Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Hill, White Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Church Mead for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310770133 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Powers Hall End, Chipping Hill, Braintree Road, Cressing Road, Witham Road, Braintree Road, Cressing Road, Cressing Road Roundabout, Millennium Way, North Roundabout, Millennium Way, Chapel Hill, Lakes Road, Manor Street, Trinovantian Way, Railway Street, South Street and vice versa (with access only into Church Hill, The Street, Faulkbourne Road, Flora Road, Notley Road, Witham Road, The Green).
The Order came into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Witham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 35m north west of its junction with The Retreat for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003520-2528 – Terrfirma Pipeline Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Terrfirma Pipeline Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Newland Street, The Grove, The Grove Roundabout, The Grove and vice versa (which also connects only into Maldon Road).
The Order came into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
