Grant Road, Installation Of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Points
What is happening?
NOTICE UNDER SECTIONS 16 AND 17 OF THE LONDON LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND TRANSPORT FOR LONDON ACT 2013
The London Borough of Harrow, under Sections 16 and 17 of the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013, hereby gives notice of its intention to undertake the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Points on Grant Road, Harrow. This work is scheduled to take place over a two-week period with notice being given to residents when works are due to commence.
Trojan Energy Limited have been appointed to undertake the installations on behalf of the London Borough of Harrow. Trojan Energy is an EV charge point installer, operator and manufacturer who have developed a charging solution where the charge point sits flat and flush in the ground to reduce street clutter. Unused charge points do not cause any obstructions on the pavement and can be walked over or even driven over. For more information visit: http://www.trojan.energy/.
Furthermore, the council intends to install between seven and ten charge points, installed along the street according to the design shown below. This will provide future proof infrastructure which will support residents in making the transition to more sustainable modes of transport, such as electric and hybrid vehicles.
Following the installation, charge point locations will not be designated as ‘EV Only’ bays; we therefore do not envisage any adverse impacts on your current parking arrangements.
For roads that are within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), all parking restrictions will remain the same and only residents with valid permits will have access to the charge points, as well as visitors that display a valid visitor voucher.
The Trojan Energy system is a future proofed product and will provide the residents of Grant Road with an efficient and effective on street charging solution for many years to come.
