Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass & B2017 Five Oak Green Road, Pembury (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Northern Pembury Bypass & B2017 Five Oak Green Road, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 9 months or until the works have been completed.
A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road and A228 Pembury Northern Bypass will be closed from the A228 and Tonbridge Road crossroads to the roundabout of B2017 Badsell Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The weight restriction on B2017 Five Oak Green Road will be suspended to allow access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tonbridge Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Pembury Road, A21 Tonbridge Road, A2014 Pembury Road, A2014 Vauxhall Roundabout, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, B2017 Crockhurst Street, B2017 Five Oak Green Road, B2017 Badsell Road and vice versa.
B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drain cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Rams Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill, B2079 Summerhill, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, Pattenden Lane, Green Lane, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Claygate and vice versa.
Broomhill Road, Southborough, TN4 0FA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broomhill Road, Southborough, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Chapel Place to the junction of Speldhurst Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broomhill Road, Speldhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Lower Green Road, Broomhill Road and vice versa.
Cavendish Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cavendish Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cavendish Drive and vice versa.
Gibbet Lane, Horsmonden, TN12 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gibbet Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Furnace Lane to outside Mere Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gibbet Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Furnace Lane and vice versa.
Goddards Green Road, Benenden, TN17 4BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goddards Green Road, Benenden, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Benenden Hospital. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane, Halden Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
Golford Road, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Golford Road, Cranbrook, on or after 15th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bakers Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Golford Road, Bakers Cross, The Hill, St Davids Bridge, Waterloo Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, Chapel Lane and vice versa.
Romford Road, Pembury, TN2 4JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Pembury, on or after 2nd April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 44. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Woodside Road, Henwood Green Road, Romford Road and vice versa.
Standen Street, Iden Green, TN17 4HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Standen Street, Iden Green, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 18 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Vyvyan Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 on Monday to Friday and between 08:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Standen Street, Woodcock Lane, Dingleden, B2086 Rolvenden Road, B2086 The Street, Iden Green Road, Standen Street and vice versa.
Stepneyford Lane, Benenden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stepneyford Lane, Benenden, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed south of Stepneyford Bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stepneyford Lane, Green Lane, Goddards Green Road, New Pond Road, B2086 The Street, B2086 Rolvenden Road, Stepneyford Lane and vice versa.
