Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A26 Quarry Hill Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2YS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow structure inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A26 Quarry Hill Road, Tonbridge, on or after 3rd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed northbound at the A21 junction, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Slip Road onto A21 Westbound, A21 Tonbridge Bypass, A21 Tonbridge Bypass Slip Road, Morley’s Roundabout, A21 Tonbridge Bypass Slip Road, A21 Tonbridge Bypass, A21 to A2014 Slip Road, A2014 Vauxhall Roundabout, A2014 Pembury Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road.
A227 Gravesend Road & A20 London Road, Wrotham, TN15 7PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new signage installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A227 Gravesend Road & A20 London Road, Wrotham, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 21 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the A20 London Road Roundabout to the junction of Harvel Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Gravesend Road, A227 Wrotham Road, B260 Longfield Road, B260 Main Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, A225 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street, A225 Hawley Road, A225 Main Road, A225 Dartford Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road and vice versa.
A228 Malling Road, Beech Road & Kent Street, Mereworth, ME18 5QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of A228 Malling Road, Beech Road & Kent Street, Mereworth, as per the below, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 84 days or until the works have been completed.
A228 Malling Road will be will be reduced to 30mph from the junction of Beech Road to property number 210. A228 Malling Road will also be closed from the junction of Beech Road to property number 210. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Beech Road will be closed from the junction of Beaufighter Road to the junction of Butchers Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Kent Street will be closed between the junctions of B2016 Seven Mile Lane and A228 Malling Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any A228 Malling Road through traffic is via A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Malling Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any Beech Road through traffic is via Beech Road, New Pound Lane, Willow Wents, Butchers Lane, The Street, A228 Malling Road, Beech Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any Kent Street through traffic is via Kent Street, Butchers Lane, The Street, A228 Malling Road and vice versa.
Birling Road, Leybourne, ME19 5HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, Leybourne, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Leybourne Grange Riding Centre and the junction of Bannister Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, Bull Road, Ryarsh Road, Birling Road, The Street, Roughetts Road, A20 London Road, Birling Road, A228 Leybourne Bypass, Birling Road and vice versa.
Birling Road, West Malling, ME19 5HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow blockage clearance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, West Malling, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A20 London Road to Rock Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, A228 Leybourne By Pass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road and vice versa.
Brampton Field, Ditton, ME20 6PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brampton Field, Ditton, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 28. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brampton Field and vice versa.
Discovery Drive, Kings Hill, ME19 4ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Discovery Drive, Kings Hill, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Elstar Place and Rubin Place. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Discovery Drive, Fortune Way, Milton Lane, Alexander Grove and vice versa.
George Street, Tonbridge, TN9 2SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow manhole repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on George Street, Tonbridge, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A26 Quarry Hill Road, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
High Street, Snodland, ME6 5AZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas service disconnection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 16th April 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property numbers 61 and 69b. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via Queens Avenue, Queens Road, Waghorn Road.
The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via Waghorn Road, Queens Road, Queens Avenue, Holborough Road, High Street.
High Street, West Malling, ME19 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow the West Malling Farmers Market to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, West Malling, on or after 27th April 2025 for up to 18 months or until the event has been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Water Lane and Swan Street, between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 only. This event will be held on the 4th Sunday of every month except December which will be held on the 14th December 2025, between 06:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via St. Leonards Street, King Hill, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street and vice versa.
Partridge Avenue & Oriole Way, Leybourne, ME20 6FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Partridge Avenue & Oriole Way, Larkfield, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
Partridge Avenue and Oriole Way will be closed from the junction of Swallow Road to the junction with the Lunsford Lane Service Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Partridge Avenue, Lunsford Lane, Kingfisher Road, Swallow Road and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Eccles, ME20 7DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Eccles, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hale Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, High Street, Bull Lane and vice versa.
Scott Close, Ditton, ME20 6AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scott Close, Ditton, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 46 to 51, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Scott Close and vice versa.
Spring Lane, Ightham, TN15 9DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spring Lane, Ightham, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Glenwood. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spring Lane, A25 Ightham Bypass, Oldbury Lane, Spring Lane and vice versa.
St Leonards Street, West Malling, ME19 6PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new gas connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Leonards Street, West Malling, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Malling Place to Five Bells. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Hill, A228 Ashton Way, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street, St. Leonards Street and vice versa.
The Heath, East Malling, ME19 6JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Heath, East Malling, on or after 17th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property number 183 to Heath Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Heath, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, Mill Street, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road, Pikey Lane and vice versa.
Yopps Green, Plaxtol, TN15 0PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yopps Green, Plaxtol, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bartons Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yopps Green, Sheet Hill, Crowhurst Lane, Winfield Lane, Bourne Lane, Grange Hill, Yopps Green and vice versa.
