Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
B2014 Newington Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0QT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2014 Newington Road, Ramsgate, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 15, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 Canterbury Road West, A299 Canterbury Road East, A255 Canterbury Road East, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A255 Queens Road and Belvedere Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Queens Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, Bromstone Road, Fairfield Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, A255 St Peters Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Beacon Road, Beacon Road, Grange Road, Callis Court Road, Lanthorne Road, B2052 Stone Road, B2052 Nelson Place, B2052 Albion Street, B2052 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 York Street & B2052 Charlotte Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 York Street & B2052 Charlotte Street, Broadstairs, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
B2052 York Street will be closed outside number 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order for B2052 York Street will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order for B2052 Charlotte Street will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 High Street, A255 Queens Road, York Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Street, Margate, CT9 1SZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Margate, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of Oxford Street and Victoria Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oxford Street, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A254 Queens Avenue, A255 Grosvenor Gardens, B2055 Churchfields, Charlotte Square, Charlotte Place and Victoria Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Edith Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Edith Road, Ramsgate, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 51, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Napleton Road, Southwood Road, Queen Bertha Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
High Street & Crow Hill Road, Margate, CT9 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street & Crow Hill Road, Margate, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 82 days or until the works have been completed.
Phase 1 - Works will be carried out from 14th April 2025, with estimated completion by 4th July 2025. The closures will be rolling closures as detailed below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of A28 Canterbury Road and Roselawn Gardens.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Roselawn Gardens and Balmoral Road.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Balmoral Road and Dent-De-Lion Road.
High Street will be closed at the junction of Crow Hill Road.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Crow Hill Road and Welsdene Road.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Welsdene Road and Lenham Gardens.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Lenham Gardens and Kingfisher Close.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Kingfisher Close and Birds Avenue.
High Street will be closed at the junction of Birds Avenue.
High Street will be closed between the junctions of Birds Avenue and Stephens Close.
High Street will be closed from the junction of Stephens Close to outside number 171 High Street.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, Hartsdown Road, B2052 Hartsdown Road, Shottendane Road, High Street and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Works will be carried out from 5th May 2025, with estimated completion by 23rd May 2025, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Crow Hill Road will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Balmoral Road.
The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions of High Street and Balmoral Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crow Hill Road, Maynard Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road, Hartsdown Road, B2052 Hartsdown Road, Shottendane Road, High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lorne Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lorne Road, Ramsgate, on or after 30th March 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 33, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Maynard Avenue, Margate, CT9 5PX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maynard Avenue, Margate, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 5 to the junction of B2052 George V Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 George V Avenue, Westfield Road, Maynard Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Northumberland Avenue, Margate, CT9 3BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northumberland Avenue, Margate, on or after 1st April 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 53, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, Princes Gardens, Rutland Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Southwood Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Southwood Road, Ramsgate, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Grange Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Southwood Road, Napleton Road, St Mildreds Road, Grange Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Shottendane Road, Birchington, CT7 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shottendane Road, Birchington, on or after 2nd April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sparrow Castle, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road, B2050 Manston Road East, Manston Road, Shottendane Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
