Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 London Road, Aylesford (PROHIBITION OF NO RIGHT-TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas main works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 London Road, Aylesford, on or after 18th April 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
A No Right-Turn will be imposed on A20 London Road at the junction of Hermitage Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 Coldharbour Roundabout, A20 London Road.
A229 Loose Road, Loose, ME15 9UU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow zebra crossing installation to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Loose Road, Loose, on or after 15th April 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Copper Tree Court and Walnut Tree Avenue, during the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 from the 16th April 2025 to 17th April 2025 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road, A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road and vice versa.
B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding, ME18 6HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Hampstead Lane, Yalding, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the Yalding Station Level Crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Hampstead Lane, Lees Road, Gravelly Ways, Beltring Road, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Whetsted Road, A228 Branbridges Road, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Hale Street By Pass, B2015 Maidstone Road Roundabout, B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane and vice versa.
Back Street, Leeds, ME17 1TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Back Street, Leeds, on or after 3rd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Arnold Farm to the junction of Forge Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forge Lane, B2163 Upper Street, B2163 Leeds Road, Horseshoes Lane, Back Street and vice versa.
Bank Street, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new gas service installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bank Street, Maidstone, on or after 15th April 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Stag Public House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Street, High Street, Gabriels Hill.
Bow Bridge, Nettlestead, ME18 5EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Nettlestead, on or after 6th April 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, to be done in two shifts as per the following: works to take place between the hours of 00:01 and 06:00 on 6th April 2025 and restarting at 20:00 on 6th April 2025 to 05:00 on 7th April 2025. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2015 Maidstone Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2162 Benover Road, B2010 High Street, B2010 Yalding Hill, Kenward Road, Bow Hill, Bow Bridge and vice versa.
Church Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4BF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Lane, Bearsted, on or after 14th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of Danefield Court to The Coach House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Oak Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 17th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Laurels Barn, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Five Ash Lane, Pagehurst Road, Marden Thorn, Wilden Park Road, Five Oak Lane and vice versa.
Frittenden Road, Staplehurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Frittenden Road, Staplehurst, on or after 2nd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Cradducks Lane and Iden Lodge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Frittenden Road, Staplehurst Road, Headcorn Road, Water Lane, Moat Road, Summerhill, Four Oaks Road, Hawkenbury Road, Headcorn Road, A229 High Street, Frittenden Road and vice versa.
Howland Road, Marden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Howland Road, Marden, on or after 31st March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of South Road to the junction of Copper Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Howland Road, Battle Lane, Marden Road, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Lower Road, Sutton Valence, ME17 3AR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Sutton Valence, on or after 15th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the Clothmakers Arms Public House and the junction of South Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Lane, High Street, Lower Road and vice versa.
Smarden Road, Headcorn, TN27 9HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Smarden Road, Headcorn, on or after 4th April 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little East End Farm, from 08:00 on 4th April 2025 to 17:00 on 9th April 2025. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Smarden Road, A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Station Road, A274 High Street, A274 North Street, Kings Road, Lenham Road, Southernden Road, Grigg Lane, Shearway Lane, Bedlam Lane, Headcorn Road, Smarden Road and vice versa.
Water Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Bearsted, on or after 3rd April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the railway bridge and the junction of The Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, The Green, The Street and vice versa.
Woodside Green, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodside Green, Lenham, on or after 15th April 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Midsummer Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodside Green, Faversham Road, A20 Ashford Road, Hubbards Hill, Warren Street, Payden Street, Woodside Green and vice versa.
