ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

CALLEY DOWN CRESCENT, NEW ADDINGTON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Calley Down Crescent, New Addington.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Calley Down Crescent will be closed at the locations detailed below.

    a) At its junction with Arnhem Drive.

    b) Nos. 36 to 37 Calley Down Crescent.

    c) The east to west arm of Calley Down Crescent (located between Nos. 37 and 39) between its junction with the north to south arm of Calley Down Crescent and its junction with Windham Avenue.

  3. Whilst the closures are in operation the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.

    o Closure at Arnhem Drive junction – Via Arnhem Drive, King Henrys Drive, Calley Down Crescent.

    o Closure at east to west arm of Calley Down Crescent – Via King Henrys Drive, Windham Avenue or King Henrys Drive, Arnhem Drive.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 May 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CHURCH WAY, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate new gas main connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Church Way, South Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Church Way will be closed at the junction of No. 9 Addington Road.

  3. The works are being undertaken to facilitate diversion works and the area of closure will be from diverted traffic will be via Addington Road, Upper Selsdon Road, Radcliffe Road and reverse, as appropriately signed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

COOMBE LANE, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate tram track works at the level crossing on behalf of TfL, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Coombe Lane, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place

    o The carriageway of Coombe Lane will be closed between its junctions with Shirley Hills Road and Ballards Way.

    o The footway of Coombe Lane will be closed within the above carriageway closure area.

  3. During the closure, the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Coombe Road, Park Hill Road, Chepstow Road, Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road, Wickham Road, High Street, Glebe Way, Addington Road, Kent Gate Way and Gravel Hill. Pedestrians will be diverted via Shirley Hills Road and Sunken Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 04 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 24 April 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction will not remain in force for the said order:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works by SGN to install new gas mains, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Coulsdon Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Coulsdon Road will be closed at its junction with Hartley Down.

  3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Stoats Nest Road, Brighton Road, Farthing Way, Marlpit Lane and Coulsdon Road, as appropriately signed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 05 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 21 April 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

DOWNLANDS ROAD, PURLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works by SES Water, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Downlands Road, Purley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Downlands Road will be closed outside No. 114 Downlands Road.

  3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Smitham Downs Road, Woodcrest Road and vice versa.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 11 April 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

NICHOLSON ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit parking in Nicholson Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    ? Any parking bays in Nicholson Road will be suspended and waiting will be prohibited at its junctions and the connecting junctions with Lower Addiscombe Road and Grant Place from 07 April to 25 April 2025.

    ? In addition, any parking in Nicholson Road will be suspended and waiting prohibited at its junctions and connecting junctions with Grant Road and Cross Road from 28 April to 09 May 2025.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

NURSERY ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate hydrant installation works on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Nursery Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Nursery Road will be closed to vehicular traffic at its junction with the High Street, Thornton Heath.

  3. During the closure the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be via High Street, Whitehorse Road, Zion Place, Zion Road and vice versa, as appropriately signposted.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within approximately four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

SUTHERLAND ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate rainwater manhole maintenance works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Sutherland Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Sutherland Road will be closed between its junctions with Canterbury Road and Midhurst Avenue.

  3. During the closure the diversion routes for traffic will be via Canterbury Road, Wentworth Road and Mitcham Road, or via Canterbury Road, London Road, Dennett Road, Mitcham Road and Sutherland Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 05 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed overnight between 9pm on 05 April and 5am on 06 April. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
