(Free Parking Places) (No.4) Order 2025

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. 4) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 17 March 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

a) designate a new parking place at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following location.

b) Lyconby Gardens, Croydon — Outside Nos. 9 / 11

Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 24 March 2025, and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  2. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF SHORT-TERM PARKING BAYS & AMENDMENT OF PERMIT/PAYMENT PARKING BAYS – BISHOP'S ROAD, CROYDON

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.7) Order 2025

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 17 March 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:

(a) To introduce two new, short-term, two-hour maximum stay, first hour free, pay-by-phone parking places in Bishop’s Road as described in Schedule 1 to this Notice with tariffs as specified in that Schedule. The bays will be in operation Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

(b) To relocate three permit/payment parking places in Bishop’s Road, with a maximum four-hour stay for non-permit holders, as described in Schedule 2 to this Notice. These bays will be in operation Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

  1. SCHEDULE 1 – TWO-HOUR MAXIMUM STAY (FIRST HOUR FREE)

  • Band 1 applies to electric or other vehicles emitting less than 1g/km CO2. The new parking charge equates to 25% discount on the Band 3 charge.

  • Band 2 applies to vehicles emitting between 1 and 138g/km CO2. The new parking charge equates to 15% discount on the Band 3 charge.

  • Band 3 applies to vehicles emitting more than 138g/km CO2; vehicles registered before March 2001; diesel engine vehicles registered before September 2015; and all payments not made via the pay-by-phone provider.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

HARES BANK, NEW ADDINGTON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they have made an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Hares Bank, New Addington.

  1. Whilst said works are taking place, the entire length of Hares Bank will be closed.

  2. Whilst the closure is in operation the alternative route for traffic will be via Windham Avenue, Callow Don Crescent, and reversed, as appropriately signed.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 April 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

HAYES LANE, KENLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate speed hump installation works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in Hayes Lane, Kenley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Hayes Lane will be closed between its junctions with Park Road.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 25 March 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 27 March 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Park Road, Hayes Lane and vice versa, or via Abbots Lane, Hayes Lane and vice versa.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (b) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BEECH AVENUE, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer connection works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on Beech Avenue, South Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Beech Avenue will be closed at its junction with Purley Downs Road.

  3. During the work the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Oaks Road, Downsway, Purley Downs Road and vice versa.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 07 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 14 April 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
