  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 19 March 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

  2. The general effect of the ‘Pedal Cycles Order’ will be to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (a fully enclosed bike hangar measuring 2.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width for a maximum of 6 pedal cycles) in Deal Road, the west side, from a point 14.4 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Seely Road southward for a distance of 2.6 metres.

  3. The general effect of the ‘Parking Places Amendment’ Order will be to remove a 2.6 metre length of parking place in Deal Road to facilitate the introduction of a bike hangar.

  4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 21 March 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the roads or lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX.

  5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, on 19 March 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  2. The general effect of the ‘Cycle Hire Parking Places’ Order will be to designate a parking place on the carriageway in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for the leaving of electric assisted pedal cycles being used in a public hire scheme operated under an agreement with the Council.

  3. The general effect of the other ‘Parking Places’ Orders will be to remove existing lengths of parking place in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice to accommodate the introduction of pedal cycle hire parking places.

  4. A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 21 March 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans specifying the roads or lengths of road affected by the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX.
