(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Alma Street, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m south east of its junction with Hamilton Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110246724 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while supply repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Alma Street, East Street, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cowdray Avenue, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cowdray Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junctions with Albert Roundabout to its junction with Catchpool Road a distance of approximately 340m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 13 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20108055622 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Cowdray Avenue, Ipswich Road Roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, Harwich Road Roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, Greenstead Roundabout, Elmstead Road, Clingoe Roundabout, Eastern Approach, Hawkins Road Roundabout, Colne Causeway, Haven Road Roundabout, Hythe Quay, Maudlyn Road, Hythe Hill, Barrack Street, Magdalen Street, St Botolphs Circus, Southway, Maldon Road Roundabout, Balkerne Hill, Middleborough Roundabout, Westway, Colne Bank Avenue Roundabout, Colne Bank Avenue, Albert Roundabout and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dedham Road, Langham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dedham Road, Langham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Water Lane to its junction with Ipswich Road a distance of approximately 2090m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2378159 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Ipswich Road, Stratford Road, Lower Street, Upper Street, Church Road, Dedham Road, Mill Lane, High Street, Colchester Road, Grove Hill, Birchwood Road, Wick Road, Park Lane, Langham Lane, Langham Road, Straight Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dowling Road, Mount Bures)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dowling Road, Mount Bures in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 5m east of its junction with Fordham Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th April 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231012516 - Premier Tree Care Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by Premier Tree Care Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Hall Road, Colchester Road and vice versa (with access only into Peartree Hill, Dowling Road and Takeleys).

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(John Street, Brightlingsea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of John Street, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 10m north east of the junction with Margaret Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110256152 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box fitting works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via High Street, Richard Avenue, Edward Avenue and vice versa (with access only into John Street).

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mersea Road, Peldon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mersea Road, Peldon in the City of Colchester, from its junction with St Ives Road to its junction with The Strood a distance of approximately 1715m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373906 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via St Ives Road, Malting Road, Peldon Road, Layer Road, Mersea Road, Colchester Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Newbridge Road, Layer Marney)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newbridge Road, Layer Marney in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Stockhouse Road for a distance of approximately 650m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2375519 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fencing renewal works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Clears Road, Smythes Green, Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Maypole Road, Church Road, Chapel Road, Newbridge Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Newbridge Road, Tiptree/Layer Marney)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newbridge Road, Tiptree/Layer Marney in the City of Colchester, from the junction with Grove Road for a distance of approximately 950m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2378160/ EP201EH2378160A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Newbridge Road, Chapel Road, Church Road, Maypole Road, Colchester Road, Maldon Road, Smythes Green, Clears Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Newcomen Way/Stephenson Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newcomen Way/Stephenson Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from the junction with A120 for a distance of approximately 160m in a north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th April 2025 for 1 night (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP10000014457 - Electrical Testing Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sign post replacement works are undertaken by Electrical Testing Ltd.

An alternative route is available via A120, A12, Cuckoo Farm Way, Axial Way, Severalls Lane, Wyncolls Road, Newcomen Way Roundabout, Newcomen Way, Stephenson Road.

The Order will come into effect on 27th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Berechurch Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Berechurch Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Pownall Crescent to its junction with Queen Mary Avenue a distance of approximately 280m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st April 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2378374 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Circular Road South, Circular Road West, Goojerat Road, Butt Road, Layer Road, Berechurch Hall Road, Berechurch Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road/Manningtree Road & Little Bromley Road, Little Bentley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road/ Manningtree Road & Little Bromley Road, Little Bentley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Colchester Road (A133) to the junction with A120 a distance of approximately 3590m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2025 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377434/EP201EH2377437 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A120, A120 J B1035 Roundabout, Clacton Road, Mistley Road, Heath Road, The Green, School Road, The Street, Thorpe Road, Tendring Road, Colchester Road, Thorpe Road Colchester Road or A120 to Hare Green Roundabout then following first diversion route.

The Order came into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Colne Bank Avenue, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic),

(North Station Road, Colchester) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Colne Bank Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from both of its junctions with The Albert Roundabout to the junction with St Pauls Road a distance of approximately 90m.

2. To temporarily suspend the bus lane in that length of North Station Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester from its junction with Essex Hall Roundabout to its junction with The Albert Roundabout as detailed in 'The Colchester Borough Council (Various Roads, Colchester) (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 2000'.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 13 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20123016539 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via North Station Road, Station Way, Colne Bank Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mile End Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mile End Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Tall Trees to its junction with Rectory Close a distance of approximately 500m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 82 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001378680 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Mill Road, Northern Approach Road, Chariot Way Roundabout, North Station Roundabout and vice versa (with access only into Nayland Road, Mile End Road).

(Plough Road, Great Bentley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Weeley Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT002DS0060951 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Colles Brook Road, South Heath Road, Dead Lane, Holly Bush Hill, Clacton Road, Station Road, Great Bentley Road, Thorrington Road, Plough Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 13th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(West End Road/Simpsons Lane, Tiptree)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of West End Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 530m south east of its junction with Priory Road for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Simpsons Lane, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with West End Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 2nd April 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00802APREAWPS391A/ BC00802APREAWPS391B - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via West End Road, Priory Road, Braxted Park Road, Maldon Road and vice versa (including Simpsons Lane).
