What is happening?

The Council of the City of Manchester proposes to make the Manchester City Council (Booth Street West, Hulme) (Prohibition of Waiting, Prohibition of Loading / Unloading, Limited Waiting Parking Place and Amendment) Order 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce:

1. No Loading at Any Time (in addition to the existing Prohibition of Waiting): Booth Street West (i) south-east side, from 57m north-east of Higher Cambridge Street for 10m in a north-easterly direction (ii) south-east side, from Higher Cambridge Street for 22m in a north-easterly direction.

2. Limited Waiting Parking Place, Waiting Limited to 20 minutes, No Return within 1 hour, All Times on All Days on: Booth Street West, south-east side, from 22m northeast of Higher Cambridge Street for 35m in a north-easterly direction (width 2.2 metres) (currently operating as a Taxi Stand).

An existing Order will be amended to be consistent with proposals. A copy of the proposed Order together with a plan showing the proposals, the Statement of Reasons and a copy of the Order it is proposed to amend may be inspected at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email or postal addresses below.

Any objections to the proposals must be sent to me in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 14 April 2025. Please quote reference PSH/HIG002/84136.
