ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(MILL LANE, RAINFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 27th day of February, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle to proceed in either direction along Mill Lane from Sandwash Close for approximately 52m Southwest, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order came into force on Monday 28th April 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take nine days. The alternative route will be via B5205 Higher Lane, B5201 Crank Road, A570 Rainford Bypass and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate repairs to the sewer.
