What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(WINDERMERE ROAD & BELL HILL, LINDALE)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of; Windermere Road, Lindale, from a point approx.15m north east of its junction with Lingarth, extending in a north easterly then north westerly direction for approx.55m; and Bell Hill, Lindale, from its junction with Windermere Road, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 30m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via;

The unrestricted sections of Windermere Road, Cartmel Lane, A590 and B5277.

The unrestricted section of Bell Hill, The Gill and Windermere Road.

The Order will come into operation on 7th April 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 12 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
