What is happening?

The Cornwall Council
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
The County of Cornwall (Back Road East, St Ives) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Ives. This prohibition is necessary for works to repair water supply pipe and it is expected that the closure will be from 3rd April 2025 to 4th April 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700, weekdays only. 

Road affected - Back Road East, St Ives between No 93 and No 95.

The County of Cornwall (Fish Street, Back Road, Back Road West and St Peters Street, St Ives) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in St Ives. This prohibition is necessary for cabling and desilting works and it is expected that the closure will be from 31st March 2025 to 1st April 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 2000 and 0600, weekdays only. 


Roads affected - Fish Street, between the junctions with The Wharf and Access to Sloop Car Park, Back Road between the junctions with Fish Street and Back Road West, Back Road West between the junctions with Porthmeor Road and Norway Lane and St Peters Street for its entire length, St Ives.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Gwinear. This prohibition is necessary for fibre connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 17th April 2025, for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1430, weekdays only.

Road affected - Gwinear Lane, Gwinear between grid reference SW 59994 37370 and the junction with Relistian Lane.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the  undermentioned lengths of road in St Hilary. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 31st March 2025 to 1st April 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1630, weekdays only.

Roads affected - B3280 Between Relubbus Lane And Fore Street, Relubbus Lane, St Hilary from Rosemere Cottage to junction with New Road.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 17th March 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Townshend. This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 4th April 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekdays only.

Roads affected - Tregembo Hill, Relubbus and Bosence Road, Townshend for their entire lengths and Road From Bosence Road To Pauls Green, Townshend between the junctions of Bosence Road and Bunkers Hill.
