What is happening?
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.14) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make an Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce a no waiting at any time double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Sittingbourne, Swale :-
(1) Attlee Way, on the northeast side from the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Satis Avenue to a point 15 metres west of the centre of the junction of Foxgrove, and Foxgrove on both sides, from a point in line with the north-eastern kerbline of Attlee Way for a distance of 12 metres in a north-easterly direction;
(2) Church Road, on the west side, between points 6 metres north and 7 metres south of the centre of the access road between 93 Church Road and the Woodcombe Club, and in the access road, on both sides, from a point in line with the western kerbline of Church Road for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction;
(3) Coleman Drive – On the north side, from the eastern kerbline of Recreation Way for a distance of 5 metres in a easterly direction, and Recreation Way, on the east side, from the junction of Coleman Drive to a point in line with the boundary of 2 and 4 Recreation Way.

Representations supporting or objecting to the proposed Order (your objection must explain the impact on traffic in the locality to be valid) can be sent in writing to Engineers@swale.gov.uk or by post to the Engineering Team, Leisure & Technical Services, Council Offices, Swale House, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3HT by 12 noon on Friday 25th April 2025.
