SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1120 MILL LANE, EARL SOHAM

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the A1120 Mill Lane, Earl Soham from Lodge Villas to the junction with The Street to facilitate telecommunications duct and chamber testing and clearing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1120, the A12, the A14, the A140, the A1120 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -06/04/2025 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to ABC Telecoms Ltd Tel: 07782 211465.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C657 NEEDHAM STREET, GAZELEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C657 Needham Street, Gazeley from 200 metres south of the Needham Hall access road for 80 metres southbound to facilitate waterworks. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Needham Street, Gazeley Road, the B1506, Needham Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -09/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water SPA. Tel: 07423 483649.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 1. WITHERSFIELD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 1, Withersfield from 70 metres north of Hales Barn Road for 40 metres northbound to facilitate construction of a new culvert bridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

There is no alternative route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 - 31/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C697 GREAT GREEN, COCKFIELD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C697 Great Green, Cockfield from the junction with Bradfield Road for 100 metres south eastbound to facilitate diverting an electrical cable, installing a substation and removing overhead lines. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Great Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 - 04/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 6A AND FOOTPATH 7, KESSINGLAND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following footpaths:

  • Footpath 6A, Kessingland
  • Footpath 7, Kessingland from Footpath 6Ato Rider Haggard Lane.

This is to facilitate the replacement of steps. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Beaconsfield Road, Wash Lane, Rider Haggard Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -18/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5626 SWAN ROAD, WORLINGWORTH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5626 Swan Road, Worlingworth from Shop Street to the junction with Tannington Road to facilitate a water CCTV investigation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Shop Street, Mill Road, Southolt Road, Tannington Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 30/03/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U7418 WHEPSTEAD ROAD, HAWSTEAD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7418 Whepstead Road, Hawstead to facilitate pre-surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Lawshall Road, Brands Lane, Bradfield Combust, Brands Lane, Lawshall, Brands Lane, Hawstead and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -04/04/2025 from 8am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3125 GRANVILLE ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3125 Granville Road, Felixstowe from no. 1 for 25 metres south eastbound to facilitate installation and removal of electrical link boxes. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Manning Road, Underdid Road, Sea Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -04/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF ALDRINGHAM BYWAY 76, ALDRINGHAM CUM THORPE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Aldringham Byway 76, Aldringham Cum Thorpe from the junction with Old Homes Road to Dormy Tennis Courts to facilitate a gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1353 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE A143 VARIOUS ROADS, WORTHAM, IXWORTH AND STANTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. A143 Bury Road, Wortham

2. A143 Stanton Road, Ixworth and A143 Bury Road, Stanton.

This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and carriageway patching prior to surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. the A143, the A140, theA14, the A143 and vice versa

2. the A143, the A140, fheA14, fheA143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

1. 31/03/2025 -12/04/2025 from 8pm - 5am

2.14/04/2025 - 18/04/2025 from 8pm - 5am with a further closure scheduled for associated works.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4433 RAYLEIGH ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4433 Rayleigh Road, Ipswich from Norwich Road for 20 metres westbound to facilitate a sluice valve replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Westboume Road, Lister Road, the A1156 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -04/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C361 BACK ROAD, U3104 CHURCH LANE AND C360 FALKENHAM ROAD, KIRTON AND FALKENHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. C361 Back Road, Kirton from the junction with Kirton Road to the junction with Falkenham Road

2. U3104 Church Lane, Kirton from the junction with Falkenham Road to the junction with Rectory Lane

3. C360 Falkenham Road, Kirton and Falkenham from the junction with Paddock Close to Grooms Cottage.

This is to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

1. Falkenham Road, Trimley Road and vice versa

2. Rectory Lane, Falkenham Road and vice versa

3. Trimley Road, Kirton Road, Capel Hall Lane, Brook Lane, Back Lane, Lower Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from: 1.31/03/2025- 13/04/2025 2.14/04/2025 - 22/04/2025 3.23/04/2025 -18/05/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C365 STONEY ROAD, GRUNDISBURGH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C365 Stoney Road, Gnjndisburgh from Folly Cottage to the junction with The Green to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Stoney Road, The Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 - 04/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 24, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 24, Felixstowe from Footpath 19, Felixstowe for 250 metres south westbound to facilitate the installation of drainage and sewer works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

There will be no diversion route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/04/2025 -30/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4809 LOW ROAD, DEBENHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4809 Low Road, Debenham from 90 metres southwest of Gardeners Road for 50 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water and electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Gracechurch Street, High Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/03/2025 -02/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE U5235 MENDLESHAM GREEN. THE C566 FROM U5249T0 U5218, C409 DEBENHAM LANE AND C408 SAXHAM STREET, MENDLESHAM, STOWUPLAND AND EARL STONHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • U5235 Mendlesham Green, Mendlesham from Hoggars Road, Mendlesham to the C566 from U5249 to U5218, Mendlesham
  • C566 from U5249 to U5218, Mendlesham from Mendlesham Green to Tan Office Lane.

This is to facilitate pre surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Road from C409 to 5249, Debenham Road, Middlewood Green, Earl Stonham, Debenham Lane, Saxham Street, Stowupland, Road from U5219 to U5235, Mendlesham and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:

  • C409 Debenham Road, Earl Stonham from the junction with the Road from C409 to 5249, Earl Stonham for 1562 metres westbound
  • C408 Saxham Street, Stowupland from the junction with Debenham Lane, Stowupland for 40 metres northbound.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 31/03/2025 -04/04/2025 from 9:30am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C450 BILDESTON ROAD, OFFTON Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C450 Bildeston Road, Offton from Oak View to Poplar Farm to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bildeston Road, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road, Willisham Hall Road, Bildeston Road and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C468 Raydon Road, Wenham Magna from the junction with Bottle Bridge Road to Manor House to facilitate a new electrical service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Days Road, Mill Hill, The Street, London Road, A12, London Road, Elm Lane, Wenham Road, Bottle Bridge Road and vice versa.
