NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Ely Footpath 23, Ely Temporary Prohibition of Use - Order 25-391

To stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Ely Footpath 23, Ely as lies between Back Hill and the River Ouse. The alternative route for pedestrians will be signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footbridge works & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/4/25 whichever is the earlier.

High Street & Minster Place, Ely Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Temporary Revocation of One-Way Traffic Order - Order 2025-394

To stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street & Minster Place, Ely as lies between Minster Place & The Gallery. The Order will provide a temporary suspension of the One Way Traffic Order in accordance with the provisions under the County of Cambridgeshire (Various Streets, Ely) (One Way Traffic) (Consolidation) Order 1979: Save as provided in the Order. The Order for no person shall, except with the permission of a Police Constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle to proceed otherwise than in the direction other than that specified in relation to those roads in this Order or in a direction other than that specified in relation to those roads in this Order in a direction other than that specified in column 1 of the schedule to this Order if at least one way tape, in column 2 of the said schedule.

It is hereby provided that it shall not apply to emergency service vehicles, buses, taxis or vehicles requiring access to properties. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; Lisle Lane; Ely Road; Stuntney Causeway & the B1382. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; Lisle Lane; E-Scooter; Broad St; Back Hill C317; Back Hill; The Gallery; Minster Place & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Quanea Drove, Ely Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic - Order 2025-422

To stop any vehicle from proceeding along Quanea Drove, Ely as lies between Stuntney Causeway & the B1382. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; Kings Ave Lynn Rd; B1382; Cambridge Rd; A142; Witchford Rd; West Fen Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage works, tree cover & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 8/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 7/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Broad Piece, Soham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic - Order 2025-426

To stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broad Piece, Soham as lies between No’s. 7 & 20. The alternative route for vehicles is via Broad Piece; Mereside; Julius Martin Ln; Townsend; The Shade; A142; Barway Rd; Blackmoor Rd; The Cotts & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water exchange & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Mereside, Soham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic - Order 2025-431

To stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mereside, Soham as lies between Broad Piece & No. 18. The alternative route for vehicles is via Broad Piece; The Cotts; Blackmoor Rd; Barway Rd; A142; The Shade; Julius Martin Ln; Townsend & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water exchange & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Prickwillow Road B1382, Queen Adelaide Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic - Order 2025-453

To stop any vehicle from proceeding along Prickwillow Road B1382, Queen Adelaide as lies between access road & Bank. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; A1101; Branch Bank, Littleport; Padnal Bank; Queen Adelaide; B1382 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate highway drainage, drainage, & water mains infrastructure works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/6/25 whichever is the earlier.

Station Road, Isleham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-485

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Isleham as lies between Isleham Rail Bridge & Mildenhall Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Mildenhall Rd, Isleham; Mildenhall Rd, Fordham; Church St; B1102; Sharmans Rd; Soham Rd; Fordham Rd C145, Soham; Soham Bypass; Northfield Rd; Great Fen Rd; B1104; B1104, Isleham; Pound Ln; Church St; Mill St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/4/26 whichever is the earlier.

Wooden Road, Littleport Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-493

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wooden Road, Littleport as lies between A1101 and Parsons Ln. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main and drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/4/25 whichever is the earlier.

Footpath of the Orchards, Sutton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 25-495

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath of the Orchards, Sutton as lies between No. 33 & Tower Rd. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 28/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 27/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Chatteris Road A142, Mepal Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-498

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chatteris Road A142, Mepal as lies between Mepal Long Highway & Bedlars River. The alternative route for vehicles is via A142; A141; A1123; A141; A142 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate structure maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/4/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Various Roads, East Division Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-388

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress to properties or land adjacent to the highways mentioned in Schedule 1. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway slurry sealing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation once the works have finished or on the 4/10/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that works will be carried out between 5/4/25 & 4/4/26 on dates specified in the Schedule.

The Order shall not apply to emergency services, works vehicles, or vehicles requiring access to properties affected by these orders. The Order will only be made upon the expiry of a period of seven days commencing from the date of this Notice. The Manager in Connection with this Prohibition is upon the order being made, should be addressed to: Rachael Force & exercise the execution of their duties to any person acting under their orders, and upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
